SITUATION.

In early 2006, Cavu Networks was asked by two pediatricians to assist in the development of a new clinic. The goal, beyond providing the best care possible, was to maximize the use of Electronic Health Record (EHR) technology to improve the continuity of care, reduce costs, increase patient communication and involvement, and to boost practice efficiency.

SOLUTION.

Cavu Networks provided clear and effective consulting, technical services and project management and implemented the computer infrastructure required by an EHR system. Cavu Networks continues to provide outsourced I.T. services for Bainbridge Pediatrics with monitoring and management of the clinic's servers, workstations and telephones and provides support for end-users and technical consulting services.

RESULTS.

Bainbridge Pediatrics opened their doors on schedule in April 2007, fully utilizing an Electronic Health Records system. The doctors and parents quickly recognized the increase in practice efficiency and quality of care. Parents have secure, electronic access to their children's medical information and can take a more active role in their health care. The clinic is essentially paperless which saves time and money compared to paper document retention. Through the efficient use of the most current technology at all levels of medical care, Bainbridge Pediatrics has been able to lower their costs of health care delivery.
